LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE: Journeying
MUCH OF WHAT we now have as Scripture began as spiritual memoir: personal stories recorded by individuals who encountered God. Throughout human history, people have made the practice of writing part of their spiritual formation. When we write, it can become clear to us where God is working in our lives and what God’s activity looks like. This week, grab a notebook and spend fifteen minutes reflecting on the events of your day or on what you have read in Scripture. Don’t worry about spelling words right, good handwriting, or watching what you say. Write prayerfully and honestly. At the end of the week, take time to read back over what you have written and look for evidences of God’s presence and activity.
