PATIENCE, KINDNESS, AND GOODNESS: Microwave Prayers

OUR LIVES HAVE been conditioned by fast food, high-speed internet, microwavable meals, and two-day shipping. We assume that anything worth having can and should come to us right away. But this is not the way we see God work, nor is it the way that is best for us. Every time you use the microwave this week, acknowledge the ways you are shaped to expect immediate results. While your food is heating up, use the time to ask God to help you grow into faithful, patient obedience, regardless of whether you see the fruit of your obedience right away.
