THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER: Write Words of Encouragement

Scripture: John 21:1-9

FEEDING SHEEP IS not an especially complicated or glorious task, nor is it something only wealthy or highly educated people can do. Each of us who has been nurtured by Jesus has the capacity to nurture others around us. This week, join in the task of caring for Jesus’s flock by writing a supportive letter to a person who may need a word of encouragement. If you can’t think of anyone, ask the Lord to give you a name and to give you a sense of what that person needs to hear. Your note doesn’t have to be long, fancy, or profound. Sometimes just knowing we are thought of is encouragement enough.
