SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER: Asking the Right Questions
Scripture: Acts 1:1-11
EVEN AFTER JESUS’S death and resurrection, the disciples still waited for their expectations of a political messiah to be fulfilled. After all they had seen and heard, they were still asking the wrong questions. Whenever we are solely focused on our desire of how things should go, we are guilty of the very same thing. This week, notice the questions you ask about yourself, about your world, and about God. There aren’t necessarily any bad questions; but there are many that will go unanswered simply because we’re asking the wrong ones. So here are some questions you can ask of God this week:
- Am I asking the right questions?
- Can you point me in the right direction so I can see what you are doing?
- What do you want me to be curious about, or ask for?
Have a blessed week!
