PRACTICING THE LORD’S PRAYER
Going on a God Hunt

Scripture: “And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:13, NLT)

LIVING THE WAY of Jesus means that we not only walk with Jesus but also that we follow him. He has already gone into the darkest, most evil places we can imagine, and he is working even there to bring deliverance. We do not confront the darkness of evil with only our small candle to light the way; rather, we follow the light of Jesus that is already present. This week, cultivate an awareness of God by intentionally looking for signs of God everywhere—in every person, circumstance, news story, and activity. When you encounter evil and fear, pray the Lord’s Prayer (especially the part asking God to deliver us from evil), and ask God to show you where he is already present in that situation.
