Weekly Practice
SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Prepare Your Story
Scripture: 1 Peter 3:13-22
IF SOMEONE WERE to ask you about the hope they see in you, what would you say? Most of us do not have a prepared answer, nor do we really expect the question. This week, spend some time thinking about how you would tell your own story of coming to life in God. If you have never recorded it for yourself, write it down. You maybe surprised that your story is instructive for you even before it is for others. And, once your story is ready, be prepared to share it. If you’re not sure what your story is, use these questions to guide you:
- When did you first experience God’s love, and how did you respond to it?
- How has God done something for or in you that you could not have done yourself?
- Think back to one of your most difficult experiences. What got you through it?
- How have you experienced God’s hope, healing, or power?
- Why do you choose to live life with God?
Have a blessed week!
